Photovoltaic Net Metering Systems (set off energy in KWhr)

Net Metering is the set off between the PV-generated and Grid-consumed energy in KWhr on every upcoming electricity bill, allowing the consumers (households and business) to cover a significant and most likely the entire part of energy consumption while giving the opportunity to use the network/grid for indirect storage of the energy produced by the photovoltaic (PV system). The term "net" is derived from the difference between the generated and consumed energy within a specific period. This time frame is usually every billing cycle of the consumed energy. If there is excess energy (production that has not been consumed at the exact time), it is not lost but transferred for use over the next one or two months and set off for the next period until final settlement in February – March every three years.

The maximum installed capacity amounts to 10.4kW. Applications apply for residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural units.

PV systems can be installed on the roof of legally erected buildings or on the ground within the same property where the legal building is located and/or adjacent property.

The application procedure to obtain the license needed for a PV system is simple and our company undertakes the execution and processing of all the required steps. The average annual energy production of a PV system is approximately 1600 - 1750 kWh/kW.

Why Net Metering?

  • The payback period of the investment can be achieved in 2-3 years
  • The electricity costs compared to the cost of purchasing and installation of the photovoltaic system, makes the net metering option advantageous for every household and business
  • Motivation is given to cover a large part of energy needs including storage heaters, thus becoming less dependent on fluctuations in oil prices
  • CO2 emissions are decreased
  • Guarantees are long term up to 25 years
  • There are governmental subsidies for a lot of categories of energy investments

Photovoltaic Net Billing Systems (set off account)

Net Billing is the set off between the PV-generated and Grid-consumed energy based on their value (in euro) on every upcoming electricity bill, allowing the consumers (households and business) to cover a significant and most likely the entire part of energy consumption while giving the opportunity to use the network/grid for indirect storage of the energy produced by the photovoltaic (PV system). The term "net" is derived from the difference between the generated and consumed energy within a specific period. This time frame is usually every billing cycle of the consumed energy. If there is excess energy (production that has not been consumed at the exact time), it is not lost but transferred as a credit in euro on the bill to be used over the next one or two month-period and keeps setting off until final settlement in October – November every year.

The maximum installed capacity amounts to 8MW. Applications apply for residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural units.

Virtual Net Metering (set off account) & Virtual Net Billing (set off account)

Referring to Net Metering and Net Billing there are the Virtual Net Metering and Virtual Net Billing categories. The only difference is that the Photovoltaic systems are installed off-site.
